Really pushes the limits of what a GTE car can be, aerodynamically speaking.

I’m thinking we may be heading to a 90’s type, crazy era, when GT cars became prototypes themselves.

And if that happens, will FIA and ACO step up to limit the costs, before the already thin GT field, becomes even thinner?

“the already thin GT field, becomes even thinner?”

What?

The class hasn’t been this healthy in forever.

This is exactly what I thought of when I noticed the interior was more cramped than an airliner. The console is three inches wide, there isn’t enough room for two adult men to sit side by side.

Purposely built race car that happens to have a few road going variants.

But... Unlike Proto-GT1, many of the current GTE cars are really based on the road car that’s in production. AFAIK, only the new GT GTE got dev’d up as race car first, and even that’s still a bit of a stretch because pretty sure Ford still has to come up with a streetcar that has to be actually street-worthy.
